PreK at Mountain School
4-Day PreK Class
4-days per week
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Ages 4.5 - 6yr | 9:00 - 1:00 PM
Age Requirement: Age 4.5 years by September 1st, 2026 must not turn 7 years before June 1st, 2027
Class Size: 12 children.
Teachers: Alis Whitman is the Head Teacher for this class, along with one (1) Assistant Teacher (TBD).
Meeting Locations:
This class uses a variety of meeting locations that change year to year, depending on the class's needs.
Our Forest Canyon at our Black Road location is considered the basecamp for this class. Additional locations, such as our off-site creek, Quarry Park Saratoga, Sanborn Park, Vascona County Park, and other locations, are regularly used.
In the PreK class, twelve (12) children, two (2) teachers, and two (2) approved caregivers will be present for each class day. Caregiver in-class participation is expected once every two to three weeks, depending on class enrollment.
Caregivers are responsible for:
Getting their child to and from school on all four days, including field trip locations (They may choose to arrange a carpool on their own).
They will attend class twice every three (3) weeks on their assigned day (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday).
They will be responsible for actively participating in and supervising all children during class, alongside the teachers.
Curriculum: In the PreK class, we

• Play outdoors, providing deep learning via physical movement and gross/ fine motor activities
